Short Definition: Engineer, artist, mathematician, equestrian, writer, setter of fires, kennel master, and baker of delicious things.

Longer Definition:

I'm a Boston-based engineer with a background in building nervous systems & brains for machines. I got hooked on autonomous systems when I was 18 and I've been chipping away at it ever since, with a few sidetracks into weather and game theory. Don't worry, I haven't managed to create our robotic overlords yet. You should both thank and pity me. I won't talk about my day job here except in vague terms. That's better for all of us.

Outside of that, I paint pictures, write stories and the occasional atrocious poetry, train my horses to dance and my dogs to not be monsters, cook, and grow more roses than a sane person should attempt when living in a swamp.

If ever you need to summon me, simply put out fresh baked bread and a glass of scotch next to a roaring fire and say my name. You might need to speak into a cell phone to make it work, though ...
