Didn't make it into work yesterday. Tisa decided to once again remove her bandages and took out all but one of the remaining stitches in the process. I found her in the morning with about an inch of hot pink vet wrap (yes, I'm punishing her) left on the bottom of her leg. That's dedication, right there, removing that much vet wrap with your teeth. Insert many hours of vets, blood and tranqualizers here. No more stitches though. We're giving up on them. It'll take her longer to heal but it'll still be shorter than if she keeps ripping them out every two days.
Now I have three things to apply to the wound itself and three things to get down her throat, morning and evening. One of the things going down her throat is a low-level tranq, since she is in fact going crazy being stall bound.
At least the wound is healing. The bottom 2 or 3 inches is pretty much finished except for skin and hair. You can't see bone anywhere anymore. I mean, we're making progress.
Aren't we?
