A bunch of stuff will be coming off the easel soon. I also have some pen & ink work that got shipped out before I managed to get it scanned, so maybe you'll get to see those and maybe not. Depends on whether or not they come back from the conventions they are at.

Convention Schedule for the summer seems to have finally solidified. It goes something like this:
LepreCon - May 5 - 7
MarCon - May 26 - 28
ApolloCon - June 23-25
Convergence - July 7 - 9
ComicCon: San Diego - July 20 - 23
WorldCon (LACon) - August 23 - 27

Since I really didn't do anything last year between Boskone and ComicCon, most of those are first time conventions for me. I'm planning on mainly just sending prints to most of them and a couple quicky originals to fill in the holes.

ComicCon and WorldCon are going to get preference as far as the originals go. ComicCon was my highest grossing last year and WorldCon was the highest the year before (it wasn't in the US last year). Therefore, I'm going to try to have something big and showy for each of them.

And finally,

This is why its always a good idea for me to keep one palette per painting. I figured "oh, its going to be little and quick, I'll use my frog & rocks palette for it". This painting was supposed to be yellows and purples and reds but my frog & rocks palette as a big glob of paynes grey on it. I am statistically unable to NOT use a color that is on my palette. If it is there, I will use it, whether it belongs or not... and end up going "what the hell, paynes grey, purple and yellow just doesn't go together". So yeah, color theory, we got no color theory here.

The real purpose of this was to try painting everythin up in layers without really going around shapes like I normally do. If I needed an area white, I tried to lift the paint off instead. It mostly worked, although some colors just don't come up completely ... like paynes grey. Ah, well.

I don't seem to be getting the picture. Got a pointer to somewhere else I can find it?
