I actually got email from my ArtWanted gallery from someone wanting Oberon. I don't think I've EVER gotten anything but spam from my account there. Very unexpected and I almost deleted it unread out of habit. Of course, I had to tell the potential buyer that the painting is on its way to California and who knows if/when it'll return. Guess I should consider doing up prints of that one.

On the critter front, we're having some ups and downs.

Tisa is doing very well with her Lymes treatment. You can tell because she's started goofing off on the lounge line again. When she's feeling sick, she acts PERFECT on the lounge line and does no more that what you ask of her. When she's feeling good, she snorts and prances and bucks for a little while before settling down to work. So now I have my michevious pony back. We're working on doing LOTS of canter work and transitions right now. We got a 69.5% on our last dressage test. Once we're steadier on the straight stretches of cantering, we'll move up to the next level.

Midori goes in for lymphoma surgery on Thursday. I was really torn about having it done at all. She's almost 8 and she's got a couple different health problems going on. I almost decided to leave it untreated (besides the steroids to make her feel good) and give her a good couple of months rather than going the surgery/chemotherapy route and risk having her last bit of time alive be filled with needles, hospitals and pain. I wimped out though and decided that I didn't want the guilt of having her die without trying to do SOMETHING. So yeah, here's hoping she pulls through and we're one of those lucky cases that manages to drive the cancer into remission.

Tira is also slowly deteriorating. Her insulinoma is racheting up and I had to double her prednisone dosage in order to keep her blood sugar within a normal range. They warned me that the prednisone would only keep it at bay for a while and then she'd become immune to it. Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot else we can do with this disease. Behavior wise, though, she's doing well...bouncey, begging for attention and hiding every sock she can get her little mits on.

The cats, at least, are completely healthy.
