I like pain, pain is my friend
Aug. 22nd, 2002 10:09 amokay, so not really. Pain is like an annoying relative that just doesn't get the hint to go away no matter what you do.
Went to the chiropractor last night. He cracked my neck and back and I explained about my shoulder and arm going cold and numb He tried messing with my should and damn near put me to my knees. All he did was try to rotate my arm and dig a finger into the ball of my shoulder. I though he was trying to rip it off. First time I've left this chiropractor with tears in my eyes, partly out of pain, partly out of fear. He told me to get my ass into a normal doctor and get an MRI done. Words like "pinched nerve" and "permanent damage" came out of his mouth. Not good words.
It seems a little better this morning. I can feel all of my fingers. My hand isn't any colder than the other one. There's a steady, rather distracting ache going up and down my arm and lodged in my elbow but advil has it down to the point where I can think around it. I can't stand to touch my shoulder with any pressure, though. I can't seem to rotate the arm backwards very far.
Damn it, I'm supposed to go on vacation in two days.
