who needs coffee...
Jul. 12th, 2002 09:50 amwhen you've just run 2.5 miles
-Boy
Despite the wonderfully cool weather that seems intent on keeping us in bed, Boy and I managed to get up and go running this morning. I seem to be adjusting to it better than I had feared. Yeah, I still had to walk a bit...but not nearly as much as on Monday. I managed to jog further between each break and the stitch in my side seemed to take less time to leave.
Goal 1: Be able to jog for the entire time without slowing to a brisk walk to get rid of the stitch in my side.
Goal 2: Increase jogging speed to Boy's jogging speed such that we can cover more ground and give both of us a better run. Boy is matching my pace most of the time. I want to be able to match his.
Grrr...they scheduled a meeting at 1 for one of my projects. They just did this, not 10 minutes ago. Why, oh why, is there a summer program that encourages you to get your 40 hours in by noon on friday, thereby allowing you to leave early, when the managers insist on having a 1:00 PM meeting?
And my manager wondered why I refused to put in 9 - 10 hours a day last summer to "take advantage of the summer program". RAAAH!
