yes, I'm still around

Wow, busy busy busy holidays this year.

I spent most of a week right around christmas back home in good 'ole Mt. Union. starherd and her boy and my boy were there too. The four of us no more than got back and Chris and George showed up. Lots of fun and games and card playing.

New Years party was a hit. Lots of people, lots of food, lots of alcohol. We ended up with 6 people camped out at our place that night. Luckily, I had anticipated this and bought lots of bagels and cream cheese for breakfast. Leslie and Todd had to go back to CA on the 1st (booo). Chris and George stuck around until early yesterday. The house seems empty now. *sigh*

Funny conversation of the holiday, occured while having dinner with C, G, the Boy and shoebox_bird.

Me - hmmm...mashed potatoes
George (raising her glass) - To potatoes!
All (glasses raised) - Potatoes!
*pause*
Me - we just toasted potatoes...
George - well, its been hours since we toasted anything.
Boy - what did we toast last?
George - it was on new years...
Chris - me!
All (weird looks)- huh?
Chris - well, I was pretty toasted on new years...
