Bubble wrap AND ducktape

Went up to the barn last night to check on Tisa and the little pita had pulled off all of the wrappings on the injured leg and took out some stitches in the process. Insert another two hours of vets, blood and such here.

Now she's got to wear vet wrap all the time to protect the stitches since its nie impossible to remove without scissors. She's also got to stay stall bound for two weeks. Even with me walking her twice a day, she's still going to be a total nut case by the time she's allowed out again. Oh, and she got another 5 days worth of antibiotics too. She was almost done with the first batch but now she gets to start all over.

At least the part she didn't rip open is healing nicely. She was also very good about the whole thing and let the vet use electric clippers to get rid of all the hair around the wound even though it obviously hurt. He gave her a tranq before he did anything major, though.

I don't know what got into her head to pull off the wrappings. I know it was her, I saw her trying to get a grip with her teeth yesterday morning. I think she's just wanted another dose of tranqualizers. My little (er, big) druggie.
