weekend of rain
May. 2nd, 2005 01:24 pmYet another wet weekend. Saturday was dry just long enough to ride Tisa around the outdoor and over some jumps and that was about it. We spent the rest of the day running errands in the rain.
( Lyman house )
Sunday, we spent most of the day lazing around and working off and on on the living room walls. We're all done plastering and are planning on primering tonight. Sometime this week, we'll actually paint it. Yay, no more pink and grey splotched walls.
I finished the weird little dude painting and got 95% done with the DFW. I just have the woman's arms and hands to finish yet. I'll hopefully put them both up tomorrow. I'm a little ashamed of the DFW. Its all shades of lavendar and pink. Lavendar and pink ! *shudder* I'm NOT a lavendar and pink sort of person ... and yet I like this picture. Its pretty and simple and very spring like. Its the same colors as the hyacynths It was fun to paint and required SOOOooo little paint to get those delicate shades. Obviously, those watercolor artists who only do pastel colors are saving a lot of money in supplies. Oh well, I'll have to paint something dark and bloody to offset it. I already have sketches.
( finally, a new bike )
