Government money at work
May. 6th, 2005 10:53 amApparently researchers at the University of Rochester made a dozen ferrets watch the Matrix.
The results? "First, while the neurons of adult ferrets statistically seemed to respond similarly to the statistics of the film itself, younger ferrets had almost no relationship. This suggests that though the young ferrets are taking in and processing visual stimuli, they’re not processing the stimuli in a way that reflects reality."
Okay, young ferrets don't work in the same reality as the rest of the world. I could have told them that. Anyone who's seen a young ferret awake could have told them that. Nothing working on the same plain of existance as everyone else could act like that.
Hey, my ferrets have watched vast amounts of TV*. I want a research grant too.
* At least Midori did before she went 90% blind. Tira never really cared about the TV but she's not too bright to begin with. If its not a sock or raisin, she ain't interested.
