Modern shipping rocks. My snowboard is, as of 9:11 AM, in Worcester, MA. It was at a store in Elmherst, NY yesterday. And I know all this because of the wonderful UPS internet tracking system. I'll check before I leave this evening and see if its waiting for me at home.
In other news, I finally signed up to take the GRE general test. I've been avoiding it for the last year but I finally got off my ass and registered. The test changes in October and I really would rather do the current analytical/logic section rather than the writing assessment section they are adding. So on the 22nd, I'll get to go play. All the practice stuff I've done has convinced me its going to be fun. I used to love standardized tests in grade and high school. Weird, huh?
Okay, back to work.

Date: 2002-09-10 10:54 am (UTC)BTW, I love to ski, and have been meaning to try snowboarding. If you are planning a trip this winter, can we make it an outing?
I promise to be a good wittle boy.

Date: 2002-09-10 11:33 am (UTC)I certainly have no problem with you coming along on any of them. The more people there are, the more people we have to untangle me from my board. Oh, you think I'm joking ...it took three very nice skiers 10 minutes last year to get me untangled after a spectacular dismount off of the ski lift. Lifts were not made with snowboards in mind. Last year, there was normally 4 of us. Me, the Boy, and Simon on boards and Alex on ski's.
If you want to rent snowboard gear, don't, for the love of god, rent it at the Wachussetts Mountain. Not only is it more expensive but it SUCKS! And suckful gear makes a hard lesson to learn even more painful.
