Where is my new computer?
I've been told its coming.
I've been told today.
J down the hall got HER new computer.
I know its going to take at least half a day to get all my shit reinstalled and I would like to get it done as soon as possible. Why don't I have a spiffy, sexy new machine sitting here waiting for me to corrupt it?

*sigh*
on the up side, Boy called to tell me my snowboard is here. Lucky bastard has today and tomorrow off while they move to a new building.

So I'm slowly collecting materials to build this 4-legged Beast costume, see? And I went to Salvation Army. And lo and behold, in
amongst all their sports junk were these weird clampy things I'd
never seen before. They were just the right size to go over your feet,
and they had support for your ankles, and the bases were an open
framework that I can nail to boards for the lower leg stilts, so that
I can have backjointed hind legs. I should just be able to slip my
feet into these clamps on the boards to put the stilts on, see.

So I took them up to the counter to pay for them. The woman at the
counter was curious as to all the junk I was getting. "I'm building a
four-legged animal costume," I said. "These, for example, are going
to be for the hind legs. But I've no idea of what they are."

"You use those to clamp your feet onto a snowboard," the guy in line
behind me said.

So, next time I have the chance, I want to see your snowboard, so
I can see how these weird heavy clampy-things work. The End. :-)
