patience...what's that?
Nov. 12th, 2002 01:24 pmSo I've forgotten how long it takes to get anything posted on an internet gallery. My submission to Epilogue have been sitting there for days now, approval still pending. All they have of mine so far are two older images, both of which most of you will have seen. My butterfly and my centaur pictures, both of which I drew in college. The centaur won't make it in, since one of their "quality" requirements is that every piece have a background. Oh well, that picture has been what I consider finished for years now.
Elfwood, on the other hand, gives everyone a tracking number and works on FIFO bases. I'm currently something like 1587th out of 1819 galleries that need to be reviewed. Dumb game. I need a patience pill or something.
I also need a decent image editing program. The scanner that
wandelrust was nice enough to lend me comes with basic scanning software but I have nothing to shrink things with that doesn't pixilate everything. Also, if I scan at a very high DPI, then photoeditor and MS Draw can't open the files since they are "too big". I'm trying to find out if there is a decent substitute for Photoshop out there...any advice would be appreciated.

Date: 2002-11-12 12:25 pm (UTC)I'm thinking it might be cheaper and quicker to buy a CD burner for josh's MS box and use that to transfer the images over to the alpha. If I can get them over there, I at least have a decent copy of XV to do resizing with.
Still won't help me to piece together the big images, though...
