Last night

Came home from the farm to the delicious smell of banana bread baking. I don't like bananas. I go so far as to pick the banana Runts out of the pack and throw them away before enjoying the rest. I do like banana bread though. Its not as good as pumpkin bread but its still yummy, especially with cream cheese spread all over it. The Boy also made potatoes au'gratin for dinner. I have the nicest Boy.

Gave starherd a call. I wanted to call earlier but I had it on very good authority (sister-in-law, mother of 4) that you should wait a day or two after the birth to call the mother. That way mom has time to get some strength back and actually wants to talk. Les told me I shouldn't have bothered waiting, that she was doing fine. She sounded good, maybe a little tired but I've heard her sounding worse after lesser events. I wish I was there. kasra_c, you have no idea how much I envy you right now*.

*I envy you being there. I don't envy you the post yaoicon hang over.

*Hugs* s'ok... I expect the adrennalin to wear off any time now, and I'll suddenly be horribly exhausted.

We took Cade on his first walk in the stroller today... to the "pumpkin patch" that miraculously appears at the end of the block every year. Got three little pumpkins (well, okay, two and a pumpkin-looking gourd) which may or may not be carved. He slept the entire time, of course... probably overdid it on the walking a bit; rather tired now. But nothing horrible...
