oh the cliches

Unicorns in the snow, I mean, really, how original is that. Quick though. I sketched this out and did the masking of it on Thursday, did the background yesterday and finished it today and the entire thing is based on a 20 minute sketch. I guess I can justify it with whining that I haven't painted or drawn a horse in almost 2 years....

i think the head is a little small in comparison to the body...
but I went and got used to my sister's boys (descended from the moose-headed Eclipse) and Peppy (also somewhat moose-headed), so my perception might be skewed a bit.

I also think that this would make great Christmas greeting cards. Can I make some? Much better than shopping at Hot Topic for Amy Brown cards again. :-)

I was using an arabian as a model, so little heads kind of come with the territory. I think I need to photoshop this picture a little more. The sky area isn't really that saturated of a blue and I noticed that the edge has some cropping problems I missed.
