Boskone Update
Feb. 15th, 2004 02:24 pmBoskone ended up being infinitely better for me than Arisia for a couple of reasons.
1) I actually SOLD something. Two somethings in fact. Secrets Shared and Making Griffins both went for their min bids. I think what I should take from this is that small cute originals sell.
2) End of the Storm got a HUGE ASS ribbon. Unfortunately, the ribbon was for the Security Guard's Choice award. The Boy thinks this award is for the picture most likely to be stolen. I don't know. Either way, having a HUGE ASS ribbon attached to your panel definitely seems to draw people in.
3) I got to sit in on George R. R. Martin reading a chapter from his next book. Very funny and friendly guy and I would advise anyone to go listen to him read. He's good at it. The Boy and I ran all through the book sellers trying to find a copy of his third book so we could get it autographed and send it to my brother but, alas, no such luck.
Anyways, I now need a couple more small originals. I'm down to only one left and I have to send my stuff out to Millenecon here next week. Luckily, I have tomorrow off. More painting!
