joflasher | Night of the Sleepless Kitties

Tried again last night. Once again, both kittens settled down on the bed to sleep within 15 minutes of the lights going out. Once again, I needed to get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. This time, it was Jargo who woke up. She followed me into the bathroom and then back to bed. Once in bed, she proceeded to demand attention. She'd snuggle in next to me and purr ... as long as I was petting her. As I fell asleep and the petting stopped, she'd start biting me, which would cause me to wake up with a yelp. Yelping eventually woke up the Boy, who took the offending kitten over to his side of the bed ... where she stayed for 10 minutes until he fell mostly back asleep and then she came back to torture me. Results, both kittens were locked out of the bedroom for the rest of the night.

They were both laying outside the door this morning. As soon as the Boy opened it, they rocketed in, up on the bed and started pestering me again. I don't think I like this trend.
