stupid morals anyways
Nov. 8th, 2004 02:34 pmNo, I'm not talking about the election. I'm talking about the Boy. I tried my damnest to convince him to play hookie with me today and he just wouldn't do it. He's never taken a day off work sick that I know of and I think he's entitled to skipping every once in awhile. Truthfully, my work gives me some obscene amount of sick days each year and allows for mental health days, so I wouldn't really be playing hookie. I've used 2 sick days this year and both were for physical illnesses, so I certainly wasn't going to feel guilty. Still, I wanted to stay home today and play in the leaves and enjoy the nice weather. I'm just immoral, I guess.
Kittens both came back from the vet alright. I'm a little concerned about the female. She keeps hopping into the litter box, sitting there for a long time and urinating only a tiny bit before she hops back out again. She is still passing stuff, both liquid and solid, and still eating and drinking. She has energy but not a lot and would rather cuddle right now than anything else. I'm keeping an eye on her and if it doesn't improve in a day or so, I'll run her back to the vet.
I managed to fall down our steps this weekend. The Boy's mom and grandparents were coming to visit on Saturday and I was frantically cleaning. At one point I was rocketing down the steps with an armload of cleaning supplies, realized that I had forgotten something upstairs and tried to both stop and turn at the same time...while wearing my big sheepskin slippers. My slippers kept going and the rest of me did not and I ended up going *thump*thump*thump* down the stairs. Now my right arm is all nicely purple and my rump good and sore.
Sunday was absolutely gorgeous. S, the Boy and I packed up our bikes and went out to Walden to ride in the afternoon. We only got a few miles in before S popped a hole in his back tire. Still, it was a nice day and we invited S and A back to the house for one last grilling bash before winter. Why oh why don't we have 3 day weekends here in the US?
