Its almost depressing how much fun I had watching The Chronicles of Riddick. Guess I should go rent Pitch Black as well.

It's Vin Diesel getting to play an RPG character. How could you not have fun watching it? It's bad, but soooo gooood. ;)

Riddick is a ton of fun, but not as important as Vin Diesel and the director think it is (they think it's the next star wars). Pitch Black is actually a better movie, in a lot of ways, though it's very, very different (it's a horror movie, instead of an action movie).

Pitch Black is a much better plot with much less shiny sets and costumes.

I love both, for entirely different reasons (see above).
The half-hour-long cartoon (it'd be anime if it was Japanese) is good too,
in that it bridges the gap between the two movies.
Netflix has it.
