Tim is an evil evil person and showed up carrying a copy of the brand spanking new edition of RoboRally last night. Plans to play Twilight Imperium were promptly scuttled in a wave of nostalgia and frag counters.

Wow, I feel seriously old (relatively speaking). I was in grad school when it first came out. I guess you were somewhere in high school at the time?

I still think it's an incredibly cool game. However, nowadays, it reminds me an awful lot of work, except that when I make a mistake in the game, I don't have to clean up the wrecked robot parts. (Of course, when I was in grad school, it reminded me a lot of the work underpinning my research except that when I got a robot from point A to point B in the game, I didn't have to write a paper about my original contribution to the field.)
