You are riding a gorgeous, black arab mare.
That's not going to change.
STOP looking down to check !

- my riding instructor

I have to say that under this instructor, my posture has straightened dramatically ... on horseback. Still slouching on the ground, though ...

That's a pretty funny comment, though.

*LOL* Sounds like a good instructor. :-D

I wonder how Cade will react to horses now that he's big enough to be inquisitive about them?
(We're going to PA for my cousin Amber's wedding on Aug. 6th, and will therefore be around
for the first few days of the Huntingdon County Fair, which, oddly, starts that day this year.)
...Hopefully better than he does with cows currently.
I'm hoping that seeing live cows will stop him from
bursting into tears every time he hears a toy/one of us/the TV make the "moo" sound. o_O

Now I'm dying to know about this.
I've probably heard, but I don't remember. :-P

you've heard it. The infamouse "Josh kissed the cow" Halloween party story. Tramatized him for years. You couldn't say "moo" around him without him going cold and growling at you ... which meant "moo" became an asylum/volleyball battle cry for a few years.

He got better.

None of us understand it.
It started with the See & Say. The first time we played the cow for him, he cried.
Ever since then, every time it hits the cow, he cries.
There were cow sock puppets on Teletubbies, and he cried.
Todd says "Moo" and Cade gives him a dirty look.

My guess is that he thinks it sounds like somebody older crying the way he does, or something. O_o

Heh. In doggie school, my instructor kept yelling, "SHE'S UGLY!" at me whenever I looked down at my dog on a walk. I protested vociferously, but he made his point. :)
