joflasherWhy, imitation dead baby bird, if you really must know.
After searching the stove pipe for more dead baby birds, removing the black onions from under the counter and cleaning out the refridgerator Tuesday night, our kitchen, as the Boy would say, still smelled like ass. The entire back area of our apartment required a gas mask to walk though last night. Ugh! Eventually, Boy and I tracked it down to a bag of potatoes liquifing underneathe some plastic bags in a cupboard. I don't remember the last time we put potatoes in a cupboard. Normally we keep them in the fridge. It took me about 45 minutes of scrubbing to get all the nasty potatoe yuck out of the wood and off of the floor and out from behind the fridge.
House still stank a bit this morning but at least it was no longer trying to burn your nose hairs out. And I got dead bird credit on the chores chart, since the smell was the same and Boy refused to touch the potatoes with a ten foot pole. I think I can still smell it on my hands, though, and I've washed them a gazillion times...
