So many ideas, so little time. I'm sketching as fast as I can, I have 5 paintings laid out, two of them with some small amount of paint on them, one almost done and still the ideas keep coming. Its feast or famine, I tell you. I can go MONTHS with nothing but forced DFW's and then the door opens and I'm swamped in ideas. I'm seriously considering carrying my sketch pad around with me at all times just so I don't loose any of them. Dragons, pumpkins, greenmen, slightly more interesting DFWs, a truely morbid piece or two. I have to capture them all so when the next draught appears, I have something to go back to.

I always have more than one painting going at a time but I think 5 is an all time high. I'm running out of places to put them where the critters can't get to them. The cats love french aquamarine, I'm afraid, and their tongues are hell on the paper. On top of having so many, I have one truely HUGE one started. Biggest thing I've done in a good 2 years. Its going to take me for-fucking-ever. I am hoping it'll be done by Boskone so it can be my new show centerpiece. If not, maybe by WorldCon next year.

Still haven't seen hide nor hair of my ComicCon art. Six weeks, people. You said it'd be back no later than six weeks. You have more than six fingers, what's the problem here? I've already wiped my August shows off the calendar since I couldn't fill my panels without the ComicCon art. If I have to bow out of my September shows as well, I'm going to be majorly pissed.

Hmmm...epilogue seems to have been hit by arabic hackers. Joy.

ComicCon is notably slow and disorganized. Last year they sent me a bill for shipping back work when I was expecting a check for the things I'd sold. Turned out those things had never been picked up (I guess) because they mailed them back after I complained. This was some two months after the show.

One of many reasons I'm never doing ComicCon again....

In theory, ComicCon was a very good show for me ... I know of five definite sales and two other maybes. I'm only expecting a couple pieces back but they are pretty big pieces. I'm tempted to just sit down this weekend and bang out 2 or 3 little shits just to fill things up again until ComicCon gets its ass in gear but none of my current in progress pieces are little quick jobbies. They are big, complex, if I don't get it right the first time, I'll have to do it again type pictures.
