watery art
Jul. 22nd, 2002 11:39 amBoy and I had stopped by charretts on the way to the movie theatre yesterday and I picked up a set of Koi water colors. Normally I don't like watercolors but for some reason I've felt like playing with them. I had wanted a set of the dried squares but the only ones they had were a brand that I don't like. Oh well, tubes it is. I guess I can always put them in my airbrush and then they won't dry up before I use them all.
So last night I spent about 3 hours masking off a sketch I did a few weeks back and painting it in. I got all of the interior done and part of the outside. I just need to find an image of a terrified rabbit to finish it.
Of course, I had originally planned to color this sketch in with pastels, so I didn't do it on watercolor paper...*sigh* Smooth vellum doesn't handle being soaked down all that well.
