There's a couple inches of snow on the ground and more falling.

The airforce base is closed.

Coincidence? I think not!

I should just put a moritorium on travel to this area of the country until, oh, say, June...

You should see if they can transfer your project to a base that's sunny and warm during the winter. :p

Three years I've been coming here and this is the only one that I've ever seen so much as a dusting of snow on the ground. Normally its getting here that is the problem, not being here.
