This is the last day to become a beta tester over at Fantastic Portfolios. Its also the last chance in the foreseeable future to purchase an Eternal Membership.
FP a judged gallery put together by the creator of Ellen Million Graphics & Portrait Adoption and her band of loyal minions. It is everything you'd expect from that particular instigator. Well designed, well staffed, and above all, pretty.
We've been flushing the bugs out of the place throughout the summer and we THINK we've got a system that will allow us to offer useful critiques to artists and still get images through quickly. Nothing like having images bogged down in waiting queues for weeks on end to make you love a gallery, you know.
Ellen, as always, has put together a good business plan complete with competent programmers and judges, and we hope the place will become a nice staple of the internet fantasy art scene.
For that to happen, we're going to need more artists and more art and the sooner the better. We won't know how our system holds up to load issues until we get an actual load on there.
So come on, you know you want to slip in under the wire as a beta tester.
All the cool kids are doing it.
We go live on the 1st.

Edit - figures, the day I decide to advertise is the day the layout would act wonky. I hadn't noticed Murphy signing up for an account but he's well and truly an active member.

Date: 2007-08-30 09:48 pm (UTC)(I'd look for an actual support link on the web page, except, well, I'm having sufficient trouble making the site work that I can't figure out how - and I figure you might at least know who to point this to.:)

Date: 2007-08-30 10:08 pm (UTC)You can head over to http://fantasticportfolios.com/salon/ (standard forum interface, so it should be good) and list your problem in the Beta area. Or I can do it, either way. I'll need a bit more detail than just "seriously broken" to help them work it out, though.
