hmmmm...wonderful morning. Cool, raining and smelling like autumn. We turned off the AC in the bedroom and opened up the windows. The ferrets both insisted on climbing up on the windowsil and pressing their noses to the screen, sniffing deeply with their eyes shut. I know how they feel. I was tempted to do the same thing.

I'm wearing my totally out of season wool skirt(yay, pockets). Its an autumn skirt and I'm in an autumn mood. I'm going to the beach next week and I spent the morning staring at trees trying to see if any of them had their leaves turning yet.

Sometimes I just don't make any sense.

Pros:
a) Pockets
b) fits perfectly
c) damn sexy in a grey wool sort'a way
d) lovely color
e) reminds me of autumn
f) did I mention the pockets?

Cons:
a) lining doesn't extend past knees or around the waistband, making it distractingly itchy
b) bottom is slender enough that I noticably have to shorten my strides from my normal "stomping around in boots" walk to dainty "oh, I'm wearing a skirt and if I keep it up, I'll end up on my face" shuffle.
c) holds in the rain water and is noticablly heavier than when it started out this morning. I blame wool.
e) wrinkles while being sat on for long periods of time.

So far, the skirt is winning.
