haunted by dead baby birds
Sep. 13th, 2002 09:17 amThis summer seems to be especially dead baby bird ridden. I mean, first the four that died in our exhaust pipe. Then the resurrection of the smell due to liquified potatoes (okay, that might be a stretch). Finally, walking home from the grocery store last night, there was one, mostly decayed baby bird smooshed on the sidewalk. I stared at it for awhile, then went home. 15 minutes later, I found myself out there with my camera taking pictures of it. I mean, what if I need a reference for a squished baby bird for my art? Where would I find something like that, if I don't take it myself?
Of course there were 4 of the neighbors nearby, watching me and muttering. Oh well, who wants to be normal anyways...
Last night: snowboard glee, home cooked dinner (first in awhile), art art art.
This morning: my old computer is still in my office but I'm not permitted to use it. Damn, stuck in the lab today. Hopefully the new machine will show up soon.
