This summer seems to be especially dead baby bird ridden. I mean, first the four that died in our exhaust pipe. Then the resurrection of the smell due to liquified potatoes (okay, that might be a stretch). Finally, walking home from the grocery store last night, there was one, mostly decayed baby bird smooshed on the sidewalk. I stared at it for awhile, then went home. 15 minutes later, I found myself out there with my camera taking pictures of it. I mean, what if I need a reference for a squished baby bird for my art? Where would I find something like that, if I don't take it myself?

Of course there were 4 of the neighbors nearby, watching me and muttering. Oh well, who wants to be normal anyways...

Last night: snowboard glee, home cooked dinner (first in awhile), art art art.

This morning: my old computer is still in my office but I'm not permitted to use it. Damn, stuck in the lab today. Hopefully the new machine will show up soon.

That's strange... how did baby birds get into your tailpipe?

And you know, if my husband was there, he'd have gotten lots of pictures for you with the digital camera, so you wouldn' t have had to go home first... ;-)

Not tail pipe ... the exhaust pipe above our stove in the kitchen. There's a post about it somewhere here...

Obviously the solution is to have Todd move here. Or something
