Nothing much going on here. All of those demos and reviews that got moved before Christmas are now back on my plate and they brough relatives. Still, I'm not all that stressed about it. They'll get done and they'll be good and if they don't or aren't, oh well. I'm having a very "Dude" day today. The next step is to buy a bowling ball.

I have a new painting that is almost done and only needs maybe an hour tops to finish and I can't seem to do it. I keep get distracted by cleaning and reading and watching Trigun. It will be done before Arisia though, since its to fill my "cheapy original" spot. Its cute and little, only 9x9 or so and the characters are fairly tiny. Its turning out much better than the last little painting I tried and I've only been working on it 2 evenings. I also have a HUGE painting of one of the wild trees from out at the Minute Man Park but its going to have to wait a month or two before I get back to it.

Quote of the day, while during one of said demos
Me, showing off the animation features of our sim - "The animation ability was just added recently. You can see there are still a few bugs left, mainly the amount of data traveling between these two boxes is always zero."
government representative - "Nope, that looks about right to me. Those two never talk to each other in real life."

Epilogue now has its own, unsanctioned Rant Community.

With a little luck, it'll settle down into something as (relatively) civilized and useful as the Elfwood Rant community. Right now, though, they're too busy screaming and being a witch hunt (witch named and linked to) to be of much interest. I may have my problems with Kay from time to time but even I agree she's a very competent artist on the technical level.

Here's hoping they grow up quickly...the net could use a Rant About Epi area which would hopefully cut down on the shit in the Epi forums. The place has got its problems but not everyone wants to have to read them when they're looking for the latest photoshop review.

Secrets Shared
8x9 watercolor, which is small for me

Took about 10 hours total, from beginning of sketch to the final scan into photoshop. Normally I spend more than that on just the painting part of things. This is the "cheap" original going to Arisia to offset the "expensive" mermaid picture.
