hey, where'd it go?!?
Jan. 5th, 2004 04:15 pmI had been hoping 11 days away from work would be enough rest to get me going again. It may have been but just. I could do with another 11 or so...on the up side, I have the 19th off. Go government holidays.
( Vacation highlights )
The art scene is coming along pretty well.
zyrain bought Dryad from me and also transported Red Masquerade back to the 'burgh for Eric. Those two events prompted me to buy a real matt cutter and to go on a framing spree. Most of my originals are now nicely matted and framed and ready to show.
So now I'm fretting about Arisia. I'll have a panel in the art show and I'm hoping to at least recoup the cost of showing, if not the cost of attending. I'm also planning to work the show a day or so to meet people and to watch art buyers in their native habitat. Nothing like a little bit of field research to round out the book learning, ya know? I'm planning on taking End of the Storm and a bunch of prints and maybe a couple little originals to round out the pricing range. Should be interesting. I also hope to show Boskone here in Febuary and Millecon in March. I'm going to try to do one show a month this year and see what happens.
