Not what I expected
Jul. 12th, 2007 09:53 amI expected a big ribbon. That's what art show awards are. Big ribbons or sometimes a nifty document.
What I got was a 10 inch solid acrylic obelisk engraved with the award name, the date and the convention name.
Its pretty ... and HEAVY.
Even with all the sales (good convention this year), my return mailing fees were higher than the fees to get it out there to begin with.
I don't care.
I've never had a obelisk before.
*Edit*
About the shipping fees, it wasn't that much more and I only have the initial rough list of sales and fees to go by. According to the post office tag on the box, shipping home was more expensive. I don't know that the art show hasn't credited me money towards the additional shipping until the final breakdown gets here along with my check. Either way, its a non-issue to me.
