So I get colds a lot. No, really. Every time the weather changes, I get a sore throat and a cough. I would say that I get a runny nose too but, as everyone knows, my nose's natural reaction to EVERYTHING is to run. Oh, look, the sun rose *hoooonk*

Anyways, I've noticed a pattern for my colds. They start making themselves known in the first evening with a sore throat and a little scratchy cough. The next morning I feel like hell. Fever, if I'm going to get one, nose going at firehose levels, coughing, the full nine yards. The following day, though, the fever normally backs off and I start to function again, though my throat tends to get much much worse. Fourth day, I feel pretty human again EXCEPT for the throat, which can barely issue sound. Cough is mostly gone by this point. By the Fifth day, I am back to about normal with only the lingerings of a sore throat and an occassional cough.

Today is day 4. My co-workers are all asking if I'm still going to Houston tomorrow, since I can barely talk. I keep saying that it sounds worse than it is but I don't think they believe me. But I'm not missing out on a free trip to the inside of the Johnson Space Center just because of a dumb cold. So there.
