WHHEEEEEEEEeeeee oops *splat*
Jan. 30th, 2003 10:57 amSnowboarding last night. I bought new bindings on Tuesday since the pair I had bought on sale last summer were over 10 years old. They didn't fit my boots and no one makes parts for them any more so I could make them fit my boots. Anyways, the new bindings rock. Not only did I not need help to get into them but I could slip out of them with two little flicks of my fingers while still moving, as opposed to sitting down and swearing and tugging and swearing and chipping the ice loose and swearing some more.
Went down the bunny slope for warm up, fell maybe a dozen times but all in all, a good run. Spent the rest of the night up on one of the bigger, harder runs. I did okay on it, almost making it to the bottom without falling the one time. The bottom, though is really steep to me and twice I managed to fall HARD onto my tail bone. The first time I was almost to a complete stop and it was just a standard "land flat on your ass" kind'a thing. The second time I was trying the Boy's "Just point yourself down the hill and go" method of boarding and I had quite a bit of speed up when I fell. I still haven't shaken that one off. Here's hoping I didn't crack my tailbone. All I know is that sitting hurts, walking really hurts and I'm not taking the stairs again today even if there is a fire.
Hopefully it'll be healed by friday. More boarding!!!
