Long weekends rock. I kind'a wish I had extended it through today. I mean, no one is here at work anyways. I got in around 9 and still was able to park on the 2nd floor of the garage. Normally I park up near 6 if I get in late. No one would have missed me. The drive in was hellish. I was in 2nd gear, 4 wheel drive, going about 15 mph and I still went sliding sideways through a red light. Salt? That's the stuff you put on your mcdonald's fries, right? And another 4 - 6 inches tonight. Yay, snow.

Spent Saturday sewing up my bellydance costume and [profile] tikva's veil. My serger then decided that three 700 grain polar fleece coats, an odd dozen shirts and 2 veils were more than enough, thank you very much, and its not going to sew another stitch until its been properly serviced. Okay, that's not quite true. It will sew rolled hems. Every other type of stitch it breaks on. I ripped it apart, cleaned it, oiled it, put in new needles and twiddled all the dials and three hours later, it still won't sew. Time to take it into the shop.

Finally released Das Bitch back into the main tank. I was getting pretty worried about her. She had one eye all beat up and lots of scales missing and was refusing to eat. Things seem to be going okay. The gramma hides when she gets too close but she hasn't been attacking him. Of course, the male damsel was being a great help on that account. He hadn't seen his mate in a week and spent the entire first day chasing after her, doing his "I'm so pretty" dance and generally making a pest of himself. Heh, cute little horny fish. We have more damsel eggs now.

Spent most of yesterday beading the hip scarf I made for bellydancing. The things going to weigh a ton by the time I'm done. I ran out of beads, though. Oh well, yet another "to do" thing on my list.

Oh, and go rent Scotland, PA. No, really. Its worth it. Who doesn't want to see a retelling of Macbeth in a 70's burger joint? Okay, that wasn't the best of plugs. Still, go rent it. The death of Duncan scene is worth the price of rental all by itself! I still crack up thinking about it.

You and me both. I got in to find (almost) no one here, and an email saying the office was closed until noon. Not that when the office is open or closed has any effect whatsoever on when I'm usually here, but most people took the opportunity to work from home today. I think we've hit half a dozen people in engineering, and another few on the less crunchy side of the office.
