I just need to remember that no matter what I do, this thing will never be foolproof against a significantly talented fool.

Undoubtably, the customer will be just so talented.

All I'm gonna say is, I've worked with Techie Customers and Other Customers at different times, and... they will nearly always do something that seems unbelievably stupid in reference to the service/item that you provide.
The ones that know (or think they know) something about the subject will make the biggest messes... because they'll try to fix it.
So I truly wish you luck...
