Apr. 28th, 2003 11:28 amSaturday weather == yuck. I like the rain and all but that was a little obscene. Did a little necessary shopping and spent the rest of the day sewing. I'm almost finished with a lovely lace duster thingy. Don't know where I'll wear it but I don't care. Its pretty.
Sunday was gorgeous. The Boy went off rock climbing with S and I went up to the farm and played with the horses. I taught Altisa how to lunge and how to trot over poles. Half the time she would still miss, though, and get all tangled up. At least it seem to convince her to think about where her feet are. Normally she just *goes* and doesn't care if she's going to trip or end up on her butt. Typical teenager, feet and limbs going everywhere. Tried working with one of the stallions at the farm and gotten bitten for my efforts. I was making him walk, he didn't want to walk and kept snaking his head down to try to grab my hand on the lead rope. Everytime he tried it, I'd knuckle him in the chin. He's old enough to know better. Well, every time except one. One of the other girls yelled something at me, I looked away from the horse for a moment and he nailed me. Yes, my entire forearm does fit in his mouth. Good thing to know. Bastard horse anyways. Needless to say, I was not amused and ran the snot out of him for it afterwards.
Ended the weekend by driving out to Framingham to a sushi restraunt called Fugacku (sp?) to meet up with Simon, Ahn, Mike, Margo and the Boy. Fugacku is the bestest sushi place I know of, if a little on the pricey side. Unfortunately, half the things on the menu I can't eat right now but, heh, who doesn't want a chance to eat cuttlefish stuffed with salmon and avacado? Good stuff.
*sigh*
can I have another weekend, please?
