Its been raining all the long weekend ... which means I finally sat down and finished something. Oh, and quasi-watched 3 or 4 movies in the process. One of the ferrets now has a green foot. Its not my fault. Why does everyone think its me???

This things been sitting on my work bench for about two, three months now. I've been putzing around doing some leaves here, some grass there. When you posted your goddess picture up on epilogue, I was like "man, she beat me to it" but I figured they were different enough that no one complain. I just finally sat down yesterday and today and FINISHED the mess.

it's happened a few times to me.. just earlier today when a friend of mine posted this drawing of a girl in a pose I wanted to use (kneeling, doing some paterns with her hands) and i was like damnit! have to think up something new now.

yours is completely different. just caught my attention cause i painted the mask.. yours is all warm and not as.. crooked as my version -s-

I actually tried to have it more of a 3/4 profile but it just didn't fit in right. I couldn't seem to make it look like the mask was looking at her and still turned more towards the viewer. It was supposed to be frillier and curlier as well but masking fluid is not my friend. If you look around the edges of it, you'll see all sorts of duct-tape style cover ups to hide what the masking fluid did.

Ah, well, I was surprised it got accepted up on epilogue. I figured I would get an "anatomy needs work" for (her) right hand and arm. Miracles never cease.

Thinking of it. Depends if I can find a place that doesn't mess the colors up in the printing.

Green with paint. Midori managed a spectacular leap from the couch onto the coffee table...right into the middle of my palette of wet paint. Since I was doing the final touch ups on the leaves, she ended up green (again!).

Midori is living up to her name, I see!

That painting is amazing! It looks like I need to poke through your gallery again. (been a couple of years)

Ooo! Ooo! Ooo!
The girl's all art-deco-like, but the rest of the picture isn't.
And the bench really is frightening... in a good way...

Going to stop bouncing now. Really.
