cabin fever
Jun. 2nd, 2003 02:19 pmI made it through this entire endless winter without going manic but this weekend finally pushed me over the edge. Rain, rain and more rain. And I like rain. I love rain...but I haven't seen the sun in almost 3 weeks and I've just about had enough. Tonight, assuming it continues to stay dry, I'm taking my volleyball and my Boy and heading over to the park. I'm going to smack said ball at said Boy until my outlook on life improves. Argh!
POPPIES! POPPIES! POPPIES! poppies!
Hey, what a strange dream, man!
The little flowers, they smell awfully good, and I was pretty tired.
The old wizard's just gonna have to wait, man, because I'm just gonna
Stretch out again in the little field of
POPPIES! POPPIES! POPPIES!
Also, I finally replaced my betta and got a female to match. Yep, betta version 6.0 is now chasing the neons around the tank. Neons are not impressed. I've had them for more than 2 years now and they've gone through many bettas. They know a) they are faster and b) new bettas have lived their lives in those disgusting betta bowls and don't know how to handle current. Everytime the betta goes after him, they mosey over to the filter opening and let the betta get swept away. Ah, well, have to get my laughs in where I can.
We're supposed to go hiking, camping and moose watching in Maine next weekend with Rak, Ahn, and Simon. Should be fun. Never saw a moose outside of a zoo before. Here's hoping we don't get rained out.
