The weather on Saturday was supposed to be rain and yuck so the Boy and I planned on going down to Haymarket. That place is insane if the weather is nice but if you're willing to get wet, you can get salmon for $2 a pound and lemons $1/dozen. Anyways, we no more than got out the front door when we decided the weather man LIED. It was gorgeous, 75 degrees, big fluffy clouds and a nice breeze. Absolutely lovely. Instead, we got our leather and helmets out and went for a ride. We ended up spending most of Saturday just cruising around on the bike. We started by going north to Chelmsford and then just wandered our way west and south until we got down below Walden Pond. We saw lots of interesting stuff and ate icecream at Kimbals for lunch.

Simon and Ahn invited us out for kebobs and corn on the cob, so that took up the rest of our evening. Simon had just gotten back from a trip to India and had gotten picked up a sari for me. Now, I don't know how to wear/wrap a sari but still, its yards and yards of lovely grey silk with gold embroidery. It was a very thoughtful gift, which may or may not have gotten him in trouble with Ahn...I really can't tell when she's actually pissed and when she's just faking it. Anyways, I think I'll make a robe out of it for lounging around the house in.

For some reason, we thought [profile] wandelrust was moving on Sunday, so we hung around the house trying to figure out when we were to meet up. We finally got ahold of Ben, who set us straight.

We then spent most of the afternoon up at the farm, working with Tisa. Carol's put her up for sale and has had people out looking at her. I am not happy with this...in fact, I'm pretty damn upset about it. Its not the fact that Carol has put her up for sale but that I might no longer "have" her. I'm going to go talk to Carol about what it would take for her to take Tisa off the market and keep her until winter. The Boy and I are pretty serious at this point about having a house by spring. Once we do the bookwork, I'll know for sure whether or not I can afford to board a horse. If Carol is willing to let me put a deposit on down to hold her until then, I just might do it.

I hate falling in love with other people's animals...

cursed weathermen. Sometimes they just Make Stuff Up.
(Luckily, what they made up for this week here was that it was going to be stinking hot, which it has failed to be, so far... *crosses fingers*)

Good luck with housing n' horses... both of those being big investments... I hope you can swing horse-owning too, 'cos I know how much you want to ;-)

This coming Sunday, around 10 am. If you guys are available, your help will be much appreciated. And repaid in the time-honored tradition of pizza and beer.
