must be the moon
May. 29th, 2002 11:38 amFunny how after a long weekend, I always feel so tired. You would think that I'd have the sense to actually sleep in and rest up and stuff but NOOOooooo... I stay up till 3 in the morning all weekend and then have to drag my exhausted ass to work for the next week as I re-adjust to a real sleep schedule. Dumb me. And the full moon isn't helping.
In other news, the little red wagon goes in to the shop next week to gets her breaks fixed. I tried to drive her the other day and the one break is sticking something fierce. The gear shift knobby, whatever you call it in an automatic that I can't remember right now, is also not working. You shift out of park into drive or reverse and the engine doesn't always shift. It just stays in park about half the time. That's probably just a slipping gear but I don't have the time or the equipment to futz with it. Moral of the story, don't let the little red wagon sit around for a month while you do body work on her.
Sometimes I really miss my stepdad and his garage with all the tools anyone would ever want. I mean, the man has a welder and a set of oxygen/acetalyne(sp?) torches and a big hydraulic jack and...and...*sigh*. Any time I found something I needed that he didn't have, he'd go get one, since we obviously needed it. He's one of those people who believed in buying good tools too, unlike me who buys what will get the job done this time and the hell with next time. And this is just in his personal garage, you know, the one that you're supposed to park your cars in next to the house. He has all this and more for fun, because he likes doing it. He just has all sorts of neat toys. I know Boy wants his woodworking equipment but I'll be damned if I can think of where we'll put a table saw or a planer. *sigh*
