4 hours ... that's how long it took me to get the lines down for this


Jack's Kids


It only took me 1 hour to layout the wrought iron bench in the last painting.

4 hours! 2 movies and lunch in between. 4 hours.

I blame kids' faces. In case you can't recognise them, those three are my brother's oldest childern. For some reason, Gabrielle and Connor kept ending up looking like monkeys or worse. Connor still looks slightly goblin-esk. If I erase any more, though, I'm going to ruin the paper.

4 HOURS!

Normally if I can get that much time all at once, I can at least get all the base work done and everything masked out and the background completed. Instead, I just have the lines down. 4 hours. After all that, I'm afraid to paint it now. I scanned it in, just in case.

I'm tired.
I want icecream
or a martini

I recommend ice cream, given that it's summer, and it's less dehydrating than alcohol. ...For some reason, I've been getting ice cream at every opportunity this summer... far more than I've had since I was very small... I wonder why ;-)

I love the hair of the leftmost little'un... shoot me, I can't remember her name :-P The sheer number of your neices and nephews terrifies me... ;-) Anyway... hair... poof!

I'm in awe of your ability to draw faces at all, of course, it being an ability I don't have... *remembers rubbing through the paper with the eraser just trying to draw *noses*, much less whole faces, much less recognizeable faces...*

the leftmost little one is Racheal who, despite coming from a family of straight hair brunettes, ended up with immensely curly blonde hair. We're not quite sure how.

Currently up to 8 neices and nephews. Gonna have a softball team soon :)
