so I was good and bad
Jul. 28th, 2003 11:57 amSaturday, I spent almost all day drawing that picture of my brother's monsters, er, childern. I've started painting it since then. I'm already not happy with it. Maybe I should have broke out the acrylics instead of the watercolors.
Sunday, I was bad. I put down a deposit on a horse.
I know I said I wouldn't do it until I had a house but things don't always work out like you plan. Carol's been getting entirely too much interest in Tisa for me to be comfortable. One woman actually came and rode her a bit and was planning on calling back this week with a yay/nay after she tried a few other horses. On top of that, we're taking her to a breed show on the 8th of August where lots of people interested in arabians will get to see her. If she were for sale, I'm almost certain Carol would get an offer or two on her and I wasn't willing to risk it. I know, excuses excuses. So now I mostly have a horse. Kind'a like I mostly have a car. Go payment plan.
On the whole, I'm not actually spending that much more a month than I was when I just leasing her. The only down side, if you could call it that, is that she might be pregnant. I'm getting a vet out soon to check. If she is, Carol is taking over the foal related expenses in order to keep the foal. I have neither the time nor the money for a foal. Here's hoping she's not, though.
here's some pictures of her when she was a year old. She's about the same now, only a little taller and a little more muscular

The woman in this picture was her old owner before Carol.
Spent most of Sunday afternoon helping
wandelrust and
shoebox_bird move out of the house and into their respective apartments. We got to see first hand how the Expansion Property of Stuff works and how it effects moving into a smaller place. I wish them luck getting all those books shelved. Came home, fell over, woke up, watched Tank Girl and ate cake. No more weekend.

...I know it's pretty silly to call a horse adorable, but that top picture
just makes me want to go "awww" and giggle...
these hormones are going to get me killed, aren't they?
