I think one of the editors over at Epilogue is a rabbit sympathist. Rabbit Hunter got rejected for being "Unrefined or lacking detail". I have no clue why, except maybe for the fact that the grass is less detailed than the fairy and rabbit. That's okay, though. I like it, its pretty and its more than a little bit in poor taste. Everything I wanted from it, in fact.

it might be because in some spots, the girl and the rabit are the same color and kind of fuse together..? Dunno.. they tend to always reject my stuff if the hands are slightly wrong.

well, the one hand does disappear in the rabbit's eye, so maybe that's it. I don't really care, though. Like I said, I'm happy with it and it does what its supposed to, which is rid the world of the rabbit.

-nodnod- so don't change it -g- i think it is fine where it is, the colors too, just was pointing out what they might have seen as 'wrong'.

See?!?! The other rabbit made it on and its much worse skill wise than this one. I don't understand...

I don't get it either... if they're going to reject stuff with reasoning like that, shouldn't they be more specific?

...That, and if you sent a print of this one off to a con, I'd give it a really good chance of going to auction, much less being sold... at least, at BayCon it definitely would...

Speaking of cons, what's the line up for the west coast this year? Are there any left that you guys are planning on going to?

There's one called SilliCon that we've not been to at all (I think it's in September, near the SF Airport) and there's YaoiCon in the middle of October (but it's anime-boy centric and doesn't really apply, never mind that I won't be getting there this year)...
But I think we're done going for the year...
BayCon is the next con we're probably going to (Memorial Day weekend next year); I expect that to be about the time when we actually get the *energy* to try one again :-)

Hmm, I can't quite my finger on it, but skill and artistry aside, the rabbit hunter doesn't have the same 'feel' as your others.

Well, Red Masquerade and Its Magic were both nearly twice the size of the Rabbit Hunter. It is nearly life sized on my screen while the others are greatly reduced. It really smoothes them out when you shrink them, so that might be it.
