dancing fuzzies
Jun. 14th, 2002 09:08 amTira is home and seems to be doing alright. Stiff and sore, but alright.
I'm always amazed by the recooperating powers of ferrets. She has a seam from the ribs to below her navel where they opened her up and she's up around walking. Not only walking but bouncing and hopping and eating. She even had the energy to drag one of her hidden socks out from under the couch into her cage for later use. Granted, she's stiff and sore and keeps rubbing her belly on things by accident and you can tell it hurts by the way she hunches up but how many humans could be up and about less than 48 hours after being gutted?
R was nice and left me borrow his extra cage to keep Midori in so she won't bother Tira's stitches. Last time Tira was away at the vets for a few days, Midori wouldn't leave her alone when she got back. She kept licking her ears and the shaved spots and basically making a pest of herself. So Midori is in her own cage until Tira's stitches are mostly healed. I am not taking any chances that Midori would get it into her head to try to pull on them. She pulls on the stitches on the couch.
I don't think they like being apart. The cages are side by side and Midori keeps going over to Tira's cage and beeping. Ferret beeps are a hilarious noise but they normally don't make it unless they are upset. 90 percent of the time, they are quiet. Sometimes, when they are really worked up and playful, they'll make a chuckle noise that sounds just like they are laughing. They can scream when they are hurt. And they can beep. Beep beeep beep.
So it sounds like we're going to Manray tonight. Don't get me wrong, I like Manray, its about the best club I've been to up here. But I miss Laga. I was a Laga regular for about 3 years and, although the acostics sucked, the place had a lot of character. Manray just seems so plastic to me. Not to mention that I REALLY don't like trance. Quick, someone, go kick the drum machine, its stuck again.
Oh, and we got the motocycle last night. WHeeeeee. I know what I want to do this weekend.

Date: 2002-06-14 07:17 am (UTC)Haven, the goth night in Northampton is better than manray. but that's a tuesday so it's kinda far for boston-area folks like you. I know of ones who make the treck occasionally. better music, cozier atmosphere, bouncers who are a lot less anal (I've never seen them turn someone away for inappropriate clothes and I see that at manray all the time...though they do argue sometimes). It's held at Diva's, formerly known as Pryzm, formerly known as Club Metro. I've been going for about a year and a half, though I make it less than 50% of nights...
