pancua showed me a wonderful discount fabric store where the Boy and I picked out ~13 yards of sheer material for curtains. That's the next rainy day project. They had SOOOO much pretty pretty material there. Katy and I then tried to make a bodice pattern off of instructions from the web. Much hilarity insued, including the wonderful quote of "of course that doesn't make sense, you don't have breasts on your back" in regards to a measurement mistake.

I spent the "me" part of my bonus on a nice drafting table. Most of my bonus is now in the "major surgery/vet bill/house or car problem" fund but I kept a tenth of it out to selfishly spend on me. I now have a nice comfortable place to paint that doesn't involve me sitting in my patented Egor hunch on the floor somewhere. I had just planned to price tables but Charrettes was having one of their weekend sales and you can't turn down 20% off on something that pricey. Yay, table. I still need storage shelves for my art room but its slowly starting to come together.

I'm down to about 3 sheets of my small tablet left once I finish the current painting, so I also got more paper. This painting is another little hydraulic critter and concrete. I seem to have exhausted the "generic fantasy women" inspiration and have reached cruising speed with the "weirdly cute hydraulic beasties" theme.

tg2k over Halloween. Guess our yearly costume party will have to be early this year. We're planning on going to YaoiCon together. Now to see if we can get the Boy to volunteer for the Bishie Auction. Les thinks that he'll get a good price just because of his hair. The Boy says "he is NOT a pretty boy" but didn't outright say no...
